TCM has been helping couples conceive for thousands of years. We draw upon this experience to assist not only natural pregnancy but also in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI) and other types of modern assisted reproductive technologies (ART). TCM treats a wide range of female fertility issues including but not limited to endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), elevated follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), low progesterone levels, luteal phase anomalies, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and recurrent miscarriages. TCM can also help with unexplained infertility related conditions such as increased NK cells, anti-sperm antibodies, etc.

Modern research has shown that TCM can increase the pregnancy rate of IVF. A German study conducted in 2002 showed that the women who underwent IVF and received acupuncture had a success rate of 42.5%, whereas the same number of women who received IVF without any acupuncture treatments had a success rate of 26.3%. A more recent American study showed that 51% of the women who received acupuncture and IVF treatments became pregnant versus only 36% of the women who underwent IVF alone. When examining the women who got pregnant, 8% of the women in the acupuncture group miscarried, while the IVF-only group had a miscarriage rate of 20%. In addition, women who received acupuncture also had lower rates of ectopic pregnancies.

Our holistic approach treats both female and male fertility issues.
